Means of building a teacher-parent-child relationship for better understanding and guidance of "exceptional" children will be studied by teachers, supervisors and parents from all parts of the state in a University of Tennessee workshop, June 16-July 23.
Chicken Chatter

We all strive to better ourselves each year so why not apply the idea to the chicken flock this year.
What breed shall we raise? Let's consider the purpose for which we are raising them. If our primary purpose is the production of eggs at the lowest cost, we will do well to stick by the light breeds (leghorns, minorcas, etc.). The difference in the cost of feed to get a dozen eggs amounts to several cents and this can be a large item over a period of time. With a big flock the difference may depend on showing a profit or loss when eggs are cheap and cost of feed high....
And Now Urns!
Two urns, each about three feet high, were stolen Friday or Saturday from the park at the junction of Stewart's Ferry Pike with Lebanon Road and the Sheriff's Patrol is now searching for the thieves. The urns were part of a beautification project under the auspices of the Lebanon Road Garden Club.
