Harry Overbey, owner of the Airways Shopping Centre, barely missed serious injury last Thursday in an accident which occurred while grading land on his property. A tractor on which he was riding tipped over and barely missed pinning him beneath. As it was, X-ray photographs were necessary to determine there was no serious injury to his back.

Junior Class to Host Formal for Seniors
The Junior class of Donelson High School, sponsored by Miss Lucille Mason and A. C. Whitefield, will be hosts at 7 o'clock Friday evening at a formal dinner party, given to honor the graduating Senior class of '47.
The gymnasium will be decorated with professional arrangements of dogwood blossoms, carrying out a green and white color scheme. Games, musical numbers and speeches are included in the program of entertainment for the 150 guests expected.
New Beauty Shop
Mrs. Lexie Helms has opened an establishment on Old Lebanon Road adjacent to the Donelson Coal Company which will be known as Lexie’s Beauty Shop. Mrs. Helms, who has had considerable experience in hair-dressing, is planning to engage another operator in the near future.
New Airport Sign
A new sign reading "Berry Field" has been installed in green neon at the entrance to the Municipal Airport.
