The R. and W. Cafe has leased a space in the new building being erected by E. W. Dispayne on the corner of Lebanon Road and Donelson Pike and will occupy the new location about June 1. The cafe will be located in the space adjoining the Bank of Donelson.

Mrs. Alma Carver Pride, 79, a long-time resident of the Mt. Juliet community, died Monday night and funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the McMillen and Hibbett Funeral Home. Burial followed in the family cemetery in Mt. Juliet....

Start Turkeys Now for Fall Market
Turkeys to be sold on the Thanksgiving market should be getting their start in life now, says A. J. Chadwell, Extension poultry specialist. While turkeys are not hard to start, they must be handled somewhat differently from chicks. Poults require slightly higher brooding temperature than chicks, for example. They are a little slower to start eating....
Poults like milk. In no case, Chadwell says, should one try to raise turkeys with chickens or on land used by chickens.
