Noslenod Plans to Open in June

Camp Noslenod, a day camp for members of the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Brownies, will again be held this summer from June 16 to July 11 on last year's site behind the Swiss Farm Dairy, according to Mrs. Jack Ward, Girl Scout leader and General Chairman for the camp.

As last year, the camp will be in operation on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the four weeks of its esxistence. Financial support is to be provided by the "Big Brothers" organization.

A camp committee, composed of Mrs. A. L. Griggs, E. R. Sanders, Jr., Carl Bullington, Edward C. Startup and Austin Denney, has been appointed. One of the committee's first duties will be unable to assume the responsibility this summer.

Details for the camp are still to be arranged. A program of instruction in handicrafts will probably be scheduled. Swimming will be on the program if a senior lifeguard, man or woman, is secured for the position. It is expected that tents will again be used to house the various activities.

Approximately 50 children attended the camp daily last year with a total of about 80 enrolled.
