Must Make Application

The latest issue of the Army Times Vet-Letter, published in Washington, D. C., contains a news item of interest to survivors of veterans. Eligible survivors of a veteran who died within three years after discharge, 1946, are entitled to receive retroactive Social Security insurance benefits as of and from the date of his death. In order to receive these benefits, however, application must be made on or before February 10, 1947. Anyone desiring further information should contact the Nashville Social Security Administration or W. L. Lockhart, Donelson 110-J, American Legion Post 88 Service Officer.
