Join Us For Historic Bluefields Annual Picnic!

We cordially invite Bluefields Residents and Neighbors to join Kara & Joe Siejakowski and their fellow neighbors for our Historic Bluefields Annual Picnic which will be held on Saturday June 14th, 2014 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.

This year we ask all of Bluefields to help us rally around our neighbors at the Donelson Pike end of Bluefield Avenue that are in direct line of the new proposed cell tower. There has never been a better time for our neighborhood to stand together and united with each other.

Never in our neighborhoods 85 year history has our way of life been under attack where we have witnessed home owners peace, quite and enjoyment be literally yanked from under them when news broke of the proposed cell tower.

This peace, quite and enjoyment won't come back until the only right decision is made; to move the towers to another suitable location so that it does not destroy peoples homes, property and ultimately our historic neighborhood.

Look at the renderings of this cell tower and imagine what the 120 foot giant with an 8 foot security fence would be like 2 feet from your property while you are enjoying Memorial Day in your back yard. You really start to understand the horrifically bad plan this proposed cell tower is.

SO for this year please check your calendars - if you have plans - CHANGE THEM - DO NOT miss this opportunity to show your support by shaking a neighbors hand or giving your neighbor a hug and telling them that we are all with you!

Included in this years annual picnic will be:

  • Invited Guests & Media Friends that are helping us with the fight!
  • Great Picnic Food including & Live Acoustic Music
  • Kids Bounce House & Other Fun Activities
  • Volleyball Games behind Cynthia & Alan McMillian's Home
  • A Grand Tour of this beautiful Greenspace and the proposed Cell Tower Location.
  • We will also have shaded areas for our senior neighbors with comfortable seating
  • And this year we are planning a big Historic Bluefields neighborhood photo..

Parking available at Frank Batson Building or recommended parking on Cumberland Avenue - If you need assistance getting to the picnic please let us know.

So please join Hosts Kara, Joe & Lauren-Elizabeth Siejakowski who have headed up the "No Cell At Historic Bluefields" campaign and already have spent countless hours and resources leading the charge!
