Kids will be kids and it takes a constant vigilence at the Donelson Grammar School cafeteria to make sure each one gets his or her share of the body-building folds at the noon meal.
To avoid an over-prevalence of desserts and other sweets, the children are checked by the teacher of each room and again at the pay-off end of the line. Each child must have at least a half pint of milk daily and only one dessert. Nearly every child takes some sort of dessert -- pie, doughnuts or ice cream -- and would tend to make a meal solely on the sweets if not watched....
