The successor to John H. Tucker as principal of the Donelson High School will probably be selected in a meeting of the Davidson County School Board Tuesday night, according to Superintendent C. L. Brockett.
Meeting at the Green Hill Women’s Club, on Lebanon Road, over 100 members of the Community Improvement Organization, heard Fred Adams, Lebanon Chamber of Commerce president, address the club Tuesday night of this week on the subject ‘What Shall We Do.’ Principal theme of the address was how to make homes and farms in the rural areas give a better appearance to the passer-by as well as making them financially better for the owner.
The constitution for Donelson’s first American Legion Post, together with the names of the 72 charter members, was presented to the Tennessee State headquarters Tuesday by Temporary Commander F. G. Rutherford and the unit has been given the designation of Post No. 88.
It is expected that the charter will be returned in time to bring the Post officially into the American Legion during the next meeting July 16.
